I have a 2001 Ranger 2WD with 92,000 miles. I've had it for a few months and i've had to replace the fuel injectors because the previous owner let it sit up for a few years. But now since I have everything replaced its running at like 2700 RPMs while goin 70MPH. Is this usual or unusual?

It would depend on tire size and diffrential ratio, but that sounds entirely possible....however, none of the things you did will change the RPM your truck runs at at any given speed.

What engine? If it's a 4 cylinder or 3.0 I'd leave it alone.

Edit: Duh this the the 3.0 forum. I'd leave it alone, that's where the 3.0 likes to be.

You're not even into the power yet at 2700.:icon_twisted: gotta love the 3.0

Thanks. I really don't know too much about the 3.0 so its nice to know that's the normal operation range.
