i flooded the truck in a mud whole a month ago i cleaned the maf, the iac, and the o2, and cleaned up a junkyard egr, but my truck still is slow on coming down with the rpms, its a stick so when you push the clutch between shifts the rpms dont drop right down like they should they slowly go down, and when i come to a stop the rpms stay at about 1300 for about a minute then slowly drop to 1k. any ideas what could be wrong?

Yeah, that and make sure you don't have crud on your throttle cable or the return spring...

the rangers cured, after swapping a few junkyard parts and a few test drives in between it ended up being the throttle positioning sensor

Ah, the TPS...I would have mentioned that too...that happened on my 2.9 and I junked it because I couldn't figure it out...

Good stuff!
