rpm jump?

when i push in my clutch to change gears my rpms jump up to about 2000 some times sometimes even up to about 2300 and its not me pushing on the gas still what could it be?

Is your defrost on when it happens? If so its probably the IAC valve. I would clear your ecu first, then start it and let it idle for about 5-10 min with the defrost on and see if it relearns correctly. If not then the IAC valve is bad.

My IAC went on my truck within the first month owning it. It would run to 2000RPM almost exactly every time. I'd be doing 60km/h with the overdrive off and not touching the gas. Scary situation, easy fix.
