I've got a 98 ranger 3.0 vs 2wd. The truck just began having a rough idle and is lacking power. Went to autozone and read the check engine code out to be misfire on cylinder two. Replaced the plugs, wires, coil pack, and two vacuum hoses (the two beneath the intake manifold.

One month ago I had the fuel system cleaned out by the dealership.

This past week has been rainy and wet.

What seems to be the problem? Fuel injectors?

Thanks in advance!

Do a compression check next.

If compression is good, then it's injector(most likely) or ignition(wire/plug). If compression is bad compared to other cyls, it could be a cracked head like I'm dealing with with my Ranger.

I will look into that this weekend, the problem is I'm on the road for work with my truck (depending on it heavily). For now, I'm going to put a new fuel filter in it as well. . . .

thanks for the input
