These shocks may not be for everyone but they have been great on my truck.
I have a 97 ranger with 183,000 miles on it. It is a regular cab, short bed 2wd XLT. 4 banger and all.
since installing these shocks I have a much better ride. Yes it is a little stiffer than what was on the truck (cheap pep boys shocks) but for me, that is a plus. It is a truck after all.
The truck sits just a tad higher (especially in the rear)
When loaded with cables and tools, the trucks sits level.
NO MORE WHEEL HOP!!!! even when empty. I have put 15,000 miles on my truck since the install and I can confidently say I am happy I did.
So anyway, I wanted to post this as I was looking for reviews for my similar truck but couldnt find anything. I hope this helps anyone that needs it.

They aren't really expensive I passed on them and got the 8000s the softer ones when I ordered my lift. Rides great on dirt roads and also no wheel hop

i'm sure they work great for some people... but for me, they ain't for me.... not mixed in with their stiff springs in the lift kit.

they have held up fine... just a little stiff when paired with their lift kit.

I love them. I get them for $25.00/shock with my discount. They dont last long if you wheel it tho. Mine failed in 2 years.

For the price I could live with that tho
