Well guy i picked up the used bracket for a rough country lift for 100$ on here.
It came with the following, both axle drop brackets, coils, and the rear spacer blocks.
i have a few questions and issues i would like to discuss as well as looking for some tips.
Issue # 1 is the kit supplied a 3'' aluminum spacer block, they would like you to add this over the stock rear block, been hearing alot of bad things about doing so, so im trying to avoid it...
My first thought of doing this, is the cheapest way i believe, and i believe the stock block is about 2''... please correct me if i am wrong, however, my plan was to remove the stock block, and replacing it with the new 3'' alum block, netting a 1'' lift to the rear, and to get the desired 3'' of lift in total, i was thinking of adding some bell techs to complete this, whats everyone's opinions on this?
Other possiblilties are to add a leaf and re arc the springs, but my first option seems to be the simplest.
Also would i just need 1'' longer U bolts, the kit came with no hardware so i have to gather all that as well.
Next up, ive heard of issues with the older style brackets causing havoc when off-roading, by puncturing the front diff, the fix is to clearance the bracket... im not sure weather or not i have the old or new bracket, and if some one could post up a pic of how to clearance it, id rather do it before i install in, im not a big off roader, but i want to be safe in case that changes lol...
Next up, the kit didn't include the bump stop drop brackets from the looks of things it only looks like a 2'' square tubing piece, am i correct or is there more to it?
Also gonna be waiting to find a pitman arm and radius arm drop brackets, to complete the kit.
Also if anyone has a list handy or can direct me to a list of the bolts ill need to find in advance to tearing things apart that would be great.
Also any special notes, like driveshaft or brake line issues with a 4'' lift on a 95 splash 4x4?
Thanks in advance guys!
