I would like to know if anyone has used this diesel motor oil has rotella-T-syntech in a regular gasoline engine car

So why is this thread titled "Fuel???"

Anyway... the only differences between diesel oil and gas oil of the same viscosity ratings is that diesel oil has more detergents. It cleans better. I'm using the new CJ-4 spec oil for the 6.7 PowerStroke in my truck and love it.

I've used diesel-spec oil in vehicles before, works well.

Time before last I used Motorcraft 15w40 in my 2.9L and it ran better. Oil for diesel also resists fuel contamination better too.

ok well I go make the change, I too heard that there will be no problem

My neighbor ran it in his 84 f150 with the 300 i6 for years because he bought it in bulk because he drove tri axle for a living. He never had any problems, and he did it for years. He and several other people I know run it in their Rhinos because it helps a lot with oil consumption.

untill recently there was some benefit due to zinc content, that and the soot control agents amongst others made it a great oil for loose built, high performance engines...

for engines needing to idle alot, or run mid-upper rpm and hot i build the tolerances fat and spec the rotella. now that zinc is down you need to add that for the old school builds i tend to prefer. though i am looking at a napier setup for a planned stroker build i am starting soon, this will be tight and synthetic is in the plan.

older or hi mile 30 wt spec motors wont mind the rotella a bit. anything calling for 5w i would not run it.
