Roll bar lights

well with three lights your looking at 25 amps so that relay should work i would buy a whole bunch of loom though and it doesn't say how long the wire is either, if i were you i would buy it all from your local automotive store and wire it all in 10 gauge with a thirty amp fuse wrap it all in loom and consider it done
thats just me tho being an electrician

I actually got two of those kits since i will need another relay for my fog lights. I guess i will just need a lot more cable to run the lights on the roll bar. Thanks for your help.

Through my research I've learned the longer the distance, the larger wire needed to run those lights. If you're running 4 100w up there then you'll want 10g wire from the battery to relay on up to the lights for sure. Its a good distance. Or what I did was use 2 relays and 2 runs of 12g.

I wanted to wire up a quick disconnect in case I wanted to pull my roll bar but I had a real hard time finding weatherproof quick disconnect connectors in 10g. They are quite abundant in 12g though. So I hooked up 2 relays in the power distribution box and ran 2 runs of 12g back. 1 12g run for each pair of 100w lights.

Still haven't hooked it up but I was wiring my fogs and wanted to get all the wiring out of the way.... now when I find a good deal on lights I'll be able to just plug them in and go, switches and relays are already installed in my truck.

Finished setup of the roll bar lights.

Thanks lone wolf. The pattern is very good, after i put the high lights it all becomes so clear and lit i can see everything haha. Im pretty satisfied with the result, im working on the fogs this weekend and i might get two lights on the bumper or go with a bull bar.

looks great cuz!
i love what u have done to that truck

cant wait to have my light bar done :icon_welder:

yeah lights look great, im in works to either buy a toolbox or a light bar like yours... idk which way to go currently.

If you really need the tool box then i would recommend you to get that first. Although i only spent around $150 on the bar and lights, $25 on the bar and the $120 on the lights and cables and everything else.

ya toolbox is 95 and pretty much brand new Delta toolbox silver. then I am also waiting on photos of this "custom" light bar on craigslist. guys sending me them tomorrow via phone.depending look of light bar will send me either way. i like the sporty look of light bar, but i also need a place for my tools as i dont wanna store them in house.
