rod knock ? help please

thats a spun bearing. might not have been caused by anything, it just "happens" sometimes.

well my oil pressure had ben fluctuating , but now my new engine is ready , and i am heading over to put it in

well i went to put my engine in yesterday and i ran into an issue , one of the old plugs was stuborn and broke off , well in the process of getting the old plug out the electrode dropped into the cylinder , and it wound up between the piston and the flat spot on the head , so i pulled the head to remove the debris , there was quite a bit more there , so when i went to put the head on , i got new head bolts , the bolts would not fit in 3 of the holes , it just chewed up the bolt thread , somehow the hole got crassthreaded , have you guys ever heard of this happening , will a simple clean out with a tap fix the problem , i need help please.

thats really odd. will the bolts start at all or do they just not catch period? is it possible that there is debris down in the holes?

i would run a tap through it and see if it cleans up the threads. if that doesnt do it...i hate to say it but id find another block (you dont want to mess around drilling the hole and tapping it to a larger size).

they catch and go in a a little ways , but then they stop , when i pulled them out there were chunks of the threads missing , so i will run a tap through them , and if it comes down to it i still have all the useable parts off my old engine , including the block
