RockRangerII refresh

Dude that is a badass console I love it. I want one exactly like that, I'm planning to make a new one. Are the square cutouts for rocker switches I'm guessing?

Yes they are for rocker switches. Seven switches. I currently am using 5 of them. I could make another one. It would be pretty easy to ship disassembled. All you would need is a rivet gun and rivets to assemble it.

I was able to get my center console painted and installed today.

My wife's CJ7 has a similar setup and the seatbelt is always falling between the seat and console. To hopefully solve that issue. I added two holes on the side and ran a bungee cord thru the holes to hold the latch side of the seat belt in place.

I'm definitely interested, what gauge metal did you use? The floor of my 91 is lower in between the seats then right in front by the tranny, I'm assuming yours is like that too? Would you be able to put in a couple extra holes as well?

16ga is what I used. I have the front two inches higher then the back. I have tabs off the sides and front that I screwed to the floor. Bolting with washers would probably be better and will do that next time I pull the carpet out.

What extra holes do you need? I have to go back to work so I wouldn't be able to make it till the end of the month.

Console is amazing man, great work. Sent you a PM. Let me know.

Looks good bud!

I haven't done much to the truck lately but did decide to build a fire pit. One side is for my ranger and one side for Tracy's CJ7. I had a few burn thrus on the letters but they could easily be fixed next time. It is all cut from 3/16" plate. The top is roughly 38" in diameter. Now I just need to get some firewood and give it a test...

The best thing is it all breaks down into a small enough package that it fits in a long/large flat rate USPS box for storage. It is just under 70lbs before cutting out the designs if my math is right.
