hey guys i am thinking about putting rock sliders on my 87 ford ranger should i bolt the on or weld them on some people tell me weld others tell me bolt on any one have any answers thanks

i plan on bolting mine as i may want to take them off for some reason

If you build it right bolts will do fine. Personally I would weld them on for added strength but you should be ok with bolts.

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic

bolt them on. hardened bolts. 4 bolts per "leg". at least 3 legs per slider.

You stand some chance of having the frame crack at the welds also (the frame wants to flex but the slider itself tries to resist the flexing). Bolting is definitely a better way to go on a c-channel frame such as what our RBVs have.
