I know this might be off the wall, but has anyone made a custom set of rock sliders? Or even buy a set of jeep ones and made them fit? Pics would be nice if anyone has them. And any input.

Thanks Jason

Nope never....

Are you talking about skid plates? There is a company that offers them custom made for Rangers...and others have fabricated them...

Search skid plates...unless rock sliders refer to something else...sorry!

No, im talking about rock sliders they go on the bottom of your rocker panels and the bolt on, the protect your rockers, doors, and body. useally seen on jeeps.

There are no 'bolt ons' sliders for rangers. Jeep ones are too short, but guys have had good luck using toyota truck ones, or just building there own.

Ah, never heard the term before...but, then again, I don't do any off road or rock crawling...thanks for the info!

Mine (homebuilt):

Made from 2x3" rectangle tubing, .120" wall with a 1/8" bash strip welded to the bottom-outer edge.
I also trimmed the rocker panel in order to mount then closer up to the body.

The ones on my Ranger (same design, but I didn't trim the rockers):

I am having some made next month by an outfit in Gig Harbor Wa. called STAINLESS BRAIN -they did my bumpers and they do good work,a forum member works there (endoverend47 stotm winner) too. They will be AWESOME ,as EVERYTHING on my MAZDA is AWESOME:headbang:

Cool thanks, I had a guy drop me off some off of a 2012 4door wrangler and they look super close to fit on my xcab, just the brackets need massaged. I didnt know if anyone got this before and made these fit before.

check out trail gear sliders.. they have 3 different lenghts... depending on your truck, one should be close to the right length.

are they jeep ones the Rubicon rock rails? b/c if not... trash them.

Thats exactly what they are. :icon_thumby:
the rubi ones are pretty sweet but most jeep guys want so much for them you can buy materials to make better ones... or even buy prebuilt ones (trail gears)

personally, i think i'm getting a set of trail gears or just gonna make some that look like it.
i want a set like this
