Rocky Road in SLC makes these rails for 98-08 Ranger SuperCab:

I have a 96 SC, and am wondering what the differnce may be. If the frame dimensions or shape are different, then I'm probably out of luck. But if it's just a matter of drilling more holes for mounting, then they may be worth a shot.

Any ideas?

The frames are slightly different, I'm not 100% sure where the changes are though. I'd like to see better pictures of those as well, all the pictures are from above and you can't see much of the design.

That's odd they would only offer it for the later trucks, rather than the earlier ones that would be far more likely to be bashed through the rocks.

Differences I know of that might potentially affect their mounting...
The '98up forward rear leaf spring hanger has straighter sides on it ('97down has more of a "V" shape).
The frame is built in two sections that meet behind said leaf spring hanger (dimensionally it's the same as the earlier frame).
Any differences up front that the torsion bar suspension brings about (presence of the torsion bar crossmember mainly).

Maybe shoot them an email. Any needed changes for them to fit should be minor, if at all.
