I have the stock steel rims on my 2010 base Ranger with manual tranny. I’d like to upgrade to the factory aluminum rims which I know weigh 20 lbs for 15 inchers. Does anyone know the weight of the stock steelies (painted not chrome)?

28lb. The change is definitely noticeable in a 4 banger truck, especially if you're running any tire other the stock size and rating. I've been trying to find a set of the XLT alloy 15"s for my current truck for this reason, but they've become pretty hard to find in this region.

I like the XLT alloy rims in the 15 inch but the XL alloy rims are also very nice. Do you know the weight of the XL's vs the XLT? Also, what kind of prices are you seeing them for at the junk yard. I'm imagining I can find them for $100 a piece at my huge local Chattanooga junk yard.

In my area alloy Ranger wheels are usually cheaper than scrap prices on FB Marketplace. I just sold a set of 5 for $75.
