Rico's chopped II

Alignment should be fine with some 3 degree bushings. What kind of 5.5" coils are they?
.

i'm not sure. i got them from mojave'smostwanted on here with the rad arms. they are used and i don't see any markings on them. they look pretty stiff though.

I know Duff makes some 5.5s but I dont know who else does. And yeah all RBV coils are stiff as shit.

Yeah, i don't think they are duff's though. their springs are "progressive rate" where the coils look like this //// / / /. these aren't. i'd love to get some xj springs where did you get yours from? and how much?

Well I am on my second set. First set was from Ebay. I cut them before they settled and they were too short. Picked up my current ones used and didn't cut them. The B2 rides the same height it did with my Skyjacker 6" coils. They are really soft though. I really suggest dual front shocks. I know someone else that is running BDS XJ coils because they are stiffer, but still gets tons of flex. I haven't gotten to try mine out yet. The B2 has only been drivable 3 days since they were put on. My avatar is with my Skyjackers.

I suggest reading up on it though. Lots of people have had problems running them with the stock steering setup.

Awesome man.

Can't wait for updates

I really like the diamond plate to cover the places you cut. That looks awesome.

How does choppin it affect the integrity of the cab? Especally with the doors off.

Rico, this is awesome! I just spotted it today.

I must say, we live in a beautiful state:

it's not as strong as having the full top, but it's much stronger than a standard chop job.

What tires are on it now?

the tires on it in the pics are 33" bridgestone dueller mt's. 2 with about 75% tread left and 2 bald.

they were actually awesome tires. they didn't wear out very fast. they are discontinued however, that's why 2 were bald. here's the story. a buddy of mine had the 2 used bridgestones and gave them to me. they had about a 1/4 tread left. i had them in my backyard for about a year when i got a job at firestone. i had the idea of buying 2 new ones with my discount, and running them with the 2 used ones until i could buy 2 more. well it turned out that there were no more. i got the last 2 in utah. i was gonna get 2 different 33's to go with the bstones but then my i decided to do upgrades instead. now i have 35's.
