i have a 99 ranger 3.0L 2wd, today when i was about to pull out of my driveway to go to work, my truck decides to take a dump on me and not wanna go into reverse. No really sure what happened i put it in reverse and it felt like the rear-end slipped on me and when i tried to put some gas to it all that happens is the engine revs on me and i dont move at all. I tried looking up old form topics about this but i couldnt find anything really relavant to this. Anyone know what i should do about this? Thanks

had it happen to me bout a month ago, ur reverse band is probably out. very cheap fix $100 for the band but a crap load in labor. unless u got good buddies like me ur lookin at about $1000 at least

in, not on. Beyond that I don't know, I'm not a tranny rebuilder, I replace em.

well i didnt do it my dads buddy did, but it was only maybe 2hr for him(trained and qualified) to tear it down
