reverse lights inop.

ever since i got my truck the reverse lights haven't worked. there's no power going to the bulbs. i looked at a wiring diagram and i lost it above the trans. its a 97 manual, has this happened to anyone?

Probably just a bad backup light switch (it screws into the side of the transmission).

factory reverse lights have always seemed very inadequate to me. one of the first mods i do is get some additional lighting back there so i can see where i'm backing and what i don't want to back in to. just my $.02.

gracias! and i know that its in the wrong catagory, i was thinking if i cant find the original problem ill just but a couple aditional lights in the back for that same reason and hook it up to a toggle switch. as long as i have something that works for inspection.
