i have never had to retime a car and im really wanting to know how to do it. is there any links that shows step by step way to retime a car?

Pull the SPOUT connector, the SPOUT looks like this:
Pull the black plug out, start it up, and check to see if it reads 10BTDC on the harmonic balancer. White paint marking the spot on the balancer is a big help. Timing light will have instructions on how to use it if it's not clear; #1 cylinder is front passenger.
