Restoring the old Eight Nine Stang

I did a little Photoshop work on this pic. I think it turned out cool.

Shane, my mustang is sold:(. I was away and my buddy was selling it for me, and he called and said she was sold so good enough, and on my way home i see this black foxbody on the side of the road broke down. so yeah i jus kept on driving by and now im 4500 dollars richer lol

I just read through your whole thread, and your stang looks amazing. Staying with the white was definitely a good choice. Its awesome you've had it since '95 too, thats only a few years less than Ive been alive!

The one downfall to seeing something like this is that I immediately got on craigslist and started looking for one! Had to catch my self and think.. no Mustang, tuition first....

Looks great the man, good work.

Awww man. Maybe you could go get one now that a witch hasn't placed a hex on? Just for comparisons sake, I bought mine for $4200 back in 95 when she was only 6 years old. Seeing you got $4500 out of it shows me these things are indeed regaining value. I've seen Fox Body Saleen's listed as high as $11,000 here in the past year.

Thank you for the compliments. I am very impressed with the work they did on it. This car has been through a lot with me, so I felt like I needed to treat her right and get her looking new again. I still have some work to do on it, but I get people bugging me to put it in car shows as it sits.

Even though I've owned this as long as I have, I still am always looking for another (additional) Mustang. They are very fun cars to own. But like you say, you'd better get your tuition taken care of first, LOL.

Thanks for checking out my thread.

After reading this whole thread. I decided to just steal the top half of your avatar. Its mine now!!!

No worries. I'm not afraid to spread the Fox love around. So what do you have? And of course, do you have some pics? :D

I ran over a fox the other day. Does that count?

Did you take ownership of it? Or did you leave it behind? Because that makes a difference. If you brought it home, you could also display "Fox Body Owner".

I own a 79 5.0 Ghia notch. I've been trying to fit it into the schedule with all the other projects I own and am currently working on. Here's a pic:

And some of the damage I'm trying to fix:

Nice! What motor does she have?

In my frankenstang?? Currently it's a regular 5.0 from a 90 GT topped with a Edelbrock intake and a Holley 1850 600 cfm carb. I'm seriously trying to find a Holley 4776 600 double pumper carb to throw on this. But every 4776 I have found on craigslist is either too much or more than 1500 miles away.

Haha...I'd do the same thing!

I'm a fan of Ponies, but the FR500 may look good, too. I dunno about blacked wheels or chrome ones...I think white will still give it a classy look on 5 Cobra replica spokes. You can still use old rubber on new wheels... :D

I've got the Ponies on mine, and I'm actually getting tired of them. I kind of want a smaller sidewall. BTW, I hate my Yokohama's still, too. So much to do, so much to do.

Did you pave the driveway yourself? Did you prep or just lay it, and did you reinforce it with rebar? It would suck if 5 years down the road it starts breaking up in large slabs because of soft earth underneath.
