Resonating tips?

I have a SOHC 4.0, have an MBRP exhaust in the way, its the turndown and I'll be modifying it to be a side exit lightning style, was looking at tips and saw something called a resonating tip. Looked into it a bit and came up with 2 answers to hat they do.

1. Make it louder and more ricey
2. Make it a deeper tone and less raspy.


So, what one of those would apply to my truck haha. I'd assume a little 4 banger would sound more ricey with one, but what about a v6?
Anyone have one?

which stands to reason that they dont alter the sound any differently from all the other tips

here ya go......makes a Veeeeeeeeeeee 6 side like a 289....

chrome... dual harley Davidson mufflers....used.....$50.....removed baffles....(no mufflers in exhaust system...just dual exhaust/dual mini cats for clean air/sounds gooooood!

you could adapt em as side-exit....
