well I disconnected my battery and reset my light. and it did not come on for about an hour of running.

i do not however know if you can just start it in your driveway or if they have to be running miles. Im not one to waste gas so i drive and it always goes out at like 40 -70 miles some cars take up to 100 miles but rangers are not a lot .

after hooking the battery back up, the light shouldnt come on while driving at any time. if it does, something is amiss.

If you disconnect the cable, you have cleared all memory. Re-connect the cable, and let the truck idle for ten minutes or so, then drive the truck for at least ten miles at speed. It will relearn it's settings, and adapt to any sensor changes.shady
