2002 ford ranger edge 3.0 stick
hello, i have a ranger edge with oversize tires and different then stock
gearing. the speedometer is 10 miles per hour off. if it says im going 80
i am really going 70. and with the speed governor on this model that gives
me a top speed of about 80 to 85.
i called a local speed and tach here in san diego and they told me that
it is difficult for their equipment to work on that year and mod. truck and
that the only way they know how to change it is to buy a super chip from
them for about $400.00 dollars and to have them install it for another
$40.00.
i looked on the super chips web site and it looks like they do not carry a
chip for my truck.
so if anyone has been in the same situation and has any advice i would
greatly appreciate it. thanks, joe
