anybody done this? does that just push onto the pinch weld or is it glued?
I can't find any pictures with the seal off?
thanks
KP

on body of the pinch weld it looks likes. Need to do mine, as well as the doors. I have major wind noise.

Pushed on, the replacement will come a little long and you can trim it down.

I didn't use any and the one I pulled off didn't have any either.

Did you also replace any of the rubber around the front windows? If so it looks like the strips on the bottom (that contact the place where you elbow goes)
just snap in? do you pry them out with a flat blade screw driver? that would be 4 pieces total 2 ousside of glass and 2 inside of glass.

"Beltline weatherstrip" is what it's called.

On an '89, the inners should mount on the door trim panels; not sure on those but once you have the panels off should be able to figure out the weatherstrip attachment (probably bend tabs).

On the outer pieces, clips on the inside of of the strip go through slots in the metal. The best way I've found to remove the old strips is from inside the door; slip a putty knife blade between the weatherstrip and the door metal, and give it light tap upward. Start at one end work your way to the other end.

Prying them out with a screwdriver can work, but you'll bend the old weatherstrip (likely not a problem UNLESS you're reusing it) or nick the door paint (might be a problem).

Reinstallation of the outers is just snapping them in.

@ChefKeith Look at the LMC Truck's website; I copied their catalog picture below. There's two pieces on the cab. Item #3 LMC calls "Weatherstrip on cab"; Ford calls it "Front Door Opening Weatherstrip". The second piece over the door, item #4, LMC calls it "Upper door weatherstrip", and Ford calls it "Roof Side Rail Weatherstrip". Looks like you can buy them from LMC, but with the differing terminology maybe you can google up some other sources, too. Good luck!
