Replacing Leaf Spring Bushings

It is hard to get data on coil (any) springs for comparison. I want to do a little more comparison and maybe hit Bobby up for a "gut feeling" on what I found. But I think I found some dual rate coils for 5.5" lift on early Broncos that may be what I need.

I think I might just find leveling springs if needed.

Bolts work great, depending on how the grease holes are sitting it can take some effort to get them to take grease though.

I use silicone grease because the normal petroleum stuff will attack the rubber bushings.

I think it was like sdspring or sdtruck or something like that that I got the bushings from. I have second gen explorer springs which have larger od bushings than ranger springs.

I've experienced the same thing with the rear, upper bolts. I need to take the weight off the wheels in order for the bolt to take any grease.

I didn't think about the petroleum grease and the bushings. I'm going to have to look into a separate grease gun and a tube of silicone grease.

Just grease em .

Moly 3%

I would run 150 coils....but may need to trim.

Or 2 over plow coils

Bags really tighten it up

I've been using synthetic boat trailer wheel bearing grease. 😁
