I have a '02 Ranger FX4 (4.0L 5spd) and one of my leaf springs has broken. According to my door jamb, the spring code for my truck is C. I spoke to a dealer and the part number they are coming up with is 1L5Z.5560.EA. There is apparently only one in the entire country available at a dealer in VA... Are C code springs really that tough to come by? Is there a different part number that supersedes that one? I believe some Rangers of the same year used a code 3 spring, but I think that has a lower load rating. Even if I bought that 1 remaining leaf in Ford's system, I would be screwed if the other side were whooped and the truck sat weird. Logic tells me to replace them in pairs anyway... I don't want to lift the truck particularly. All I want is to replace both rear leafs and maintain the same ride height and load rating (if I could avoid spending the $400 per side that Ford would charge IF they had these that would be cool too...). Any suggestions as to what I should replace my springs with?:icon_confused:

Where are you located? Look around and ask local shops what they do for springs. I had a pair of packs made for my Olds a few years ago and the set only cost me $300.
