Replacement seats

Aren't there any after.market seats being made? I have a 97 xtra cab 4x4 . It blows me away that with all the obvious demand somebody wouldn't be doing this.

Not sure about the high demand, I have never even wanted to change a seat in any car or truck I have ever owned, unless it was broken.

Aside from generic racing seats, no. Although there are IMHO expansive Upholstry kits out there.

As for demand, based on what I've seen, it's not there. Sadly most Rangers I see are beat up abused means to an end or denutted bare-bones fleet trucks. What we do is the exception, not the rule.

That said, there are plenty of other Ford seats that will fit with various amounts of modification. Not like there isn't any selection.

Yeah I guess this is what I get for hanging on to this beast ,it just turned 200 a couple of months ago and I was happy with how well it was doing . I've done a lot of dui I mean dyi but right now I just don't wanna waste the extra work I'd rather just go to the store pick it up and bolt it in . I think there's alot of old rangers out there and seems like alot of posts about finding them too.

If you go that route try to find an 2003+ one (and know you'll have to yank pre-tensioners), as I found out the seat back frames in the older 1998+ ones are thin and have a tendency to break at a lower spot weld.

Are the same options available for the Bronco 2 for seats? The seats in my 88 EB B2 are strange, the driver's seat doesn't slide all the way back on the rails, thinking something in the adjuster is damaged.

The passenger seat seems like a strange setup as well, it doesn't flip and tilt forward like the one in my 84 B2 did for rear seat access, or was this a change in the newer B2's?

I've been thinking of swapping the 2 front bucket seats out the rear seat is fine, but I'd at least like to keep the tan color, don't necessarily care about keeping the Eddie Bauer seat styles as long as the color matches the rest of the interior.

So, I assume I'd need to find seats out of another B2 in this case? Also, what options are out there for center consoles, just rip one out of another B2 of course, find one in a Ranger or Explorer possibly?
