is there an brand to go with/stay away from when replacing a fuel injector. I can find one for as cheap as $34 from napa. should i stay away from this and find a motorcraft one or is there no difference? thanks

stock is always better. plus with something like that if your only replacing 1 you want it to match the rest if you can. you would not put 2 different brands of pads on each side of your truck, same kinda deal.

are these the stock ones? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RANGER-3-0-V6-FUEL-INJECTORS-SET-FORD-94-95-96-97-98_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem439c4b2c52QQitemZ290384981074QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

would remanufactured be fine? looks like a good deal
are the original ones bosch? I just assumed they would be motorcraft but maybe not?

edit: nevermind, i found motorcraft ones. now i guess my question changes to should i get those remanufactured bosch ones or get a new motorcraft one? the single motorcraft one is about the same price as the 6 bosch ones. thanks

Six of one and half a dozen of the other.

If it were me I would go with the NAPA injector and be done with it. If your Ranger is a '96 then it's not a spring chicken anymore, so if the NAPA injector isn't perfectly matched with your stock injectors it's not going to make much of a difference and your engine should run just fine.

I dont know what you mean in the first part.
I also dont know what you mean by spring chicken, can you elaborate please?

So you think i would be better of just replacing the one with the cheapest I can find instead of replacing them all with matched remanufactured ones?

thanks for the response

Six of one half a dozen of the other = I meant that it would probably wouldn't really matter if you went with either the one Motorcraft or the six Bosch's.

Spring chicken = your truck is 14 years old and not getting any younger, and if I owned a truck that was getting on in years I would spend as little as possible on it to keep it running, and thus I would just buy the cheapest injector I could find, slap it in there and hit the road.

ok thanks. i see what your saying about cost but this isnt a huge cost. I think the 6 bosch ones are actually cheaper than 1 motorcraft one and not all that much more than the cheapest i can find. Anyone else have any thought?
