Replacement hubs

Pretty sure they would be both work, just make sure you have the right spline count for the ones from amazon. I've got the ones TRS fab and offroad sells and they work great. What don't you like about them?

Well from looking at the pictures of the ones at TRS it appears that the face does not bolt of so if something went wrong with them the whole wheel and whatnot would have to be pulled to get at the insides. The ones on amazon have that face that can be removed without pulling the whole wheel. Also that is what I am used to so I like it that way.

Good point. Ya with these you gotta take the wheel off to work on them. With the other set, if the cover bolts seized up you'd have a real problem trying to work on them then. They've both got ups and downs. Hopefully someone who has the bolt on cover set can chime in.

The issue is not removable vs. nonremovable faces. With stock hubs, I can get them completely disassembled in 30 seconds. It's not at all hard. The only thing you're going to be able to do with the wheel installed is remove the broken full-floating axleshaft in your Jeep on the trail. That's because that's what these hubs were meant for.

The reason you might want those is because they are heavier duty, having been designed for a rear end instead of a front end. Serviceability is exactly the same. To clean out water contamination, you're going to have to remove the hub, period.

Frankly, if removing a wheel is an issue for you, forget any idea about servicing the hubs yourself. It's very basic and very easy.

The issue isn't entirely about removing the tire but if the hub lock goes out in the field it is easier to cary a spare if the face plate then the whole unit or if it refuses to lock or unlock I could pull it and look at the lock to see why easier. Removing the wheel is an inconvenience as it takes more time but for the most part it is it is only an issure if I need to pull the hub in the mud or soft sand making it a fight to jack up the vehicle.

If it fails in the field, it fails by cracking the case. The whole unit must be replaced, and the wheel must come off, even if you have that removable face.

And if you're worried about THAT, why are you looking at hubs made out of more parts? Joints are just another place to fail.

I like the looks of them better than the cheap looking Ford/Warn style.

Since they are made to run on the back of a jeep they are probably stronger as well.

I would be tempted to go that route if they would work on a RBV.

I can't tell WTF is up with that Amazon link, they give the part # 37780 (which are the EXACT SAME hubs as on TRS Fab), the 1st part of the product description begins to correctly describe those hubs as well, but then it starts wandering off about the (different) internal splined hubs and stuff that's shown in the wrong picture on the page. Neither of the part #s they give for "foundation kits" come up on Warn's site either.

It's not real clear what the hell you'll get by ordering from that page  (that and you'll be on your own with the hubs shown in the pic, no one to my knowledge has adapted parts from that particular setup (IIRC #38109) to a RBV).

I'd just go with the Warn hubs on TRS Fab. They've proven themselves to be extremely reliable time & time again and are not at all likely to fail (I've been running them with a locked diff on 35" tires crawling through huge rocks for some years now), yet it still takes less than 5 minutes to remove a wheel even if one did, I'm not sure I see why the extreme concern about that. :icon_confused:
