RockAuto, among other websites, sell replacement headliners for my 93 ext cab. They have 3 color options for grey: Medium Opel Grey, Medium Graphite and Smoke.

Which color matches the interior the best?

Those pictures aren't different colors.

The 1993 gray interior color is listed as "Opal Gray" in the sales brochure.

eny meany miny mo...

They are, just subtle.
Just pick one and wear sunglasses, or "squint"...they'll all look the same during the day. At night, who's going to know...or care ?
But, the first, Medium Opal Gray is really a "gray". Other two look like they have almost a "cream" tint to them.

Yeah at night it doesnt matter, but I just wanted one that looks closer to OEM. Medium Graphite looks the closest to me, as opal grey looks a tad darker and smoke does have a cream tint. I'm contemplating on getting the visors too since mine are starting to get torn.

It is indeed but medium Graphite looks closer in shade. Checking if others thought the same or no.
I'd say your current colors have changed some over the years. I'm certain mine has

After studying deeply into all the available options I could find it led me to believe that some material from Wmart and some spray from Hobby Lobby would provide the same headliner at a fraction of the cost (although I haven't yet proven this theory ;) )

I have a hard time thinking any color you look at on a computer or phone screen (or even in a printed catalog) is going to represent exactly what the color is...

For '93-'94 (maybe even '89-'94), the Ford color is "Opal Gray". So that is what I would probably order first. If it's wrong, then tell them so and have them send you whichever one you (or they) think is closest.

I wouldn't think the headliner color would change a whole lot since the sun never hits it directly.

FWIW, I did the headliner on my BII some years ago (Mocha, I think it's color is called), the place I bought material from only had generic choices like "Tan", "Beige", "Almond", etc. I think it was Tan I bought, and it ended up quite a bit lighter than the original, yet still it's not very noticeable unless you're actually looking for the mismatch.

Just call the supplier and have them send you samples. It's probably acme and they are very easy to deal with. I did this a couple times in the past and was no problem they would rather you get the right color than complain later.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I think i will contact acme and ask for samples. Good ideas. I've never done upholstery before so quite honestly that hasn't crossed my mind. I'll look into that as an option though.
