I recently replaced the head gasket on my 86 ford ranger. the truck has a 2.3l 4cyl. Everything was runningg fine until i replaced the head now the truck wont start. it will crank but will not fire. I replaced the plugs, wires, distro cap, and disto rotor. I am getting spark from the coil and spark to the plugs, but the truck still will not start. What could this be?

Are you sure you had everything lined up when you installed the timing belt?

as black widow suggested, sounds like a fuel problem. if you have fire at the plugs, it's not a spark problem. Make sure you got all your connections hooked back up tight. when i did a motor swap on mine it wouldn't start at first. Finally i just double checked everything, and one little connector made a click when i pushed it tighter, bingo vroom.
