Repair left-front speaker connection

Anyone ever repaired the left-front speaker wires? I have a 2002 Ranger XLT and it has a non-working left-front speaker because the speaker wires have been cut. I've identified the correct wires (orange/green and blue/white) on the inside of the cab under the dash. I've removed the dash to improve access but the wires are still pretty difficult to access and I've not been able to find the "end" of the wires under the dash -- the wires won't pull through from either end. Apparently they're secured in some way upstream.

So, I may need to just tap these wires and run new wires over to the door.

However, it looks like I will have to remove the parking brake bracket in order to get access to the port through the door frame -- the one that has the rubber boot going between the door and the cab through which the wires pass. I've been able to insert a flexible grabber through from the door but it hits the rubber mat (and bracket?) when I push it through the boot. My plan was to use the grabber to pull the wires through the boot into the door.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
 
I've ran several wires from the dash through to the drivers door without removing the parking brake or anything else. It definitely takes some fishing and wiggling but it can be done fairly easily. It's easier to feed the wire from outside in. Pull the rubber hose/boot thing off the cab and door side and use a coat hanger to push through the cab grommet following the current wires. Once through attach the new wire to the end of the coat hanger and pull it through. Then just start fishing and routing it up to the radio.

I attempted pulling the boot from the cab door frame but it extends into the cab and appears to be secured in some way inside? I can see like rubber tabs extending into the cab interior.
 
The flexible rubber boot/ hose connecting the door and cab should just press in on each side like a typical rubber grommet. There's no metal frame that I'm aware of. Can you snap a pic of what your referring too?
 
See below: When I pull on the boot, the extensions that appear going into the cab stretch rather than coming through.

When I pull it farther, I can see that it has electrical tape(?) around the tabs -- as if it is taped around the cables?

Thats as far out as you need to pull it, get the wire through the boot then run the coat hanger in right from there. You wont get it in the original loom inside the cab without a ton more work. I just push the wire in and zip tie it to the loom then route it where you need.
 
Thanks. Yeah, I was able to push something through the gap enough that I can see it inside the cab. Really appreciate the guidance. I don't post much here but I lurk a lot and learn. :)
