Quick question - I am doing a little bit of customizing to my 2000 4x2 Ranger. I would like to know if I will find any holes in the fenders if I remove the front fender tags ("Ranger XLT") or on the lower right corner of the tailgate if I remove the blue oval? Has any removed these to find out? If there are no holes, I might pull them and then clean off the double-sided tape residue to create a cleaner look. If there are holes, then it is not worth it.

Thank you for your time and thoughts!

Has anyone tried to remove the fender-tags or tail-gate oval before? Please let me know what you have found underneath. Thank you!

I am pretty sure that theres a hole behind the fender tags on my truck. I dont know about your year.

Take the inner fender out and look at the back side of the fender to see if there is a hole. If not then it must be glued on.

I know for a fact that the oval on the tailgate has two mounting holes, the parts company i worked for had all the logos removed for vinyls, but i think the fenders did not have holes or they were patched.

There are for sure two holes holding the "Ranger XLT" on.

Mine has two holes on the fender from the "Ranger XLT" logo (one hole smaller than the other one).
