i have a 2.3 ranger and am looking to strip off all of the a/c equipment. i mean everything under the hood that has to do with it. question is if i unplug all of the wires to all the a/c pieces am i going to run an error code? or can i just strip it all out and tape off the plugs? thanks in advance nate

by the way the a/c never worked and i never use it anyway, just looking to free up a few horses and get a lot of junk out from under the hood

and is there anything else i need to do after i pull all the junk out from under my hood?

why not just have the a/c recharged? nice cold air in the summer with better gas mileage and better defroster performance in the winter is very nice. removing the a/c isnt going to free up any horsepower.

if you really wan to remove it, you can unplug and remove everything a/c related and it wont trip a CEL or cause any drivability problems.
