removing headliner

how do i remove the headliner? do i have to remove every piece of plastic starting in the back?

do you mean the whole headliner, cardboard and all? or just the fabric to reupholster it? if you wanna take out the entire thing, my suggestion would be to take it out via the back window to avoid bending or breaking it. if you have the rear sliding window, the window itself is easy to pop out, then just pull the plastic rivets out of the headliner and slide it throguh the open ended back window.
