removing center cup console

i just bought a 2000 ford ranger(regular cab, 60/40 bench seat) and the cup holder console is disgusting. how do i remove it? i dont see any bolts. does it pop off?

never mind, i figured it out. there was a rubber liner at the bottom of each cup holder. underneath, was a fastner.
