My ignition lock cylinder freakin broke today. How the hell do I get this out? The entire metal piece that sticks on the end of the cylinder is gone. I tried prying it out with pliers, and it won't budge. I know there's this little pin thingy on the new one I got, but WHERE is the hole?

I should say that this is off my 91 explorer...duh lol.

I had the same problem with my 90 12 days ago. there's a little pin on the key cylinder that u should be able to press in with a paperclip but sometimes they jam up or break. My 90 i just bought had this problem right after i paid it off. The only solution i found was to drill out the key cylinder being careful not to touch the cylinders wall with the drill. I drilled almost all of it out until it finally came out. After that i got another key cylinder off my parts truck and it was a ok.

I FINALLY found it, what a true pain in the ass! Ford sure didn't make things easy for us diy'ers.

HAHA. Back then Ford wasn't designing cars with keeping DIY'ers from doing stuff in mind. They were designing them ignorant of the fact that at some point someone might take something apart because it was BROKEN. All the stuff is designed to come apart pretty easily if it isn't busted.
