removal of clip holding mastercylinder rod to clutch pedal

would someone be able to tell me how to dissconnect the rod connecting the clutch pedal to the mastercylinder, i only need to disconnect from the pedan.

I just replaced a MC about a month ago.

I don't recall exactly, but it came off MUCH simpler than I was expecting (I think either it just pulled off (clips on), or maybe you pushed on the little tabs in some way. (trying to find my book, but not sure where I put it (outside in the garage maybe).
 
i checked in my ranger book but it didnt help, it just pissed me off, but im just going to drop my trany tommorw i ran out of daylight
 
On my 89 there is a hairpin that snaps into a hole cross drilled into the round boss attached to the clutch pedal arm. The boss is only about 2" below the shaft the pedals pivot on. It makes it easier to remove the hairpin if you rotate it 90 degrees before pulling it out.
