remote turbo

Yep, there are a few running around with real good results.

I've been looking all over the net to find some info on this setup as well. Do you have any links? I'm not as concerned about the turbo, but how their tranny's are holding up and stuff like that. I'm thinking about doing a remote mount on a 4x4 sohc 4.0L soon. Just want to make sure i'm not going to run into too many troubles down the road.

With the proper tuning and tight maintenance people have pushed 350+rwhp on the stocker 5R55E transmission and lasted during allot of daily driving and many track passes on slicks. The key to keeping the E tranny in lasting condition is the tuning and keeping the bands adjusted to proper spec.

Where are examples of all of these people doing these turbo set-ups? I mean, is it on You-Tube? Please post links. I need references for those claims.

Keeping the bands adjusted--is that it then?

That will sure as hell help along with the tuning. Most people sell those transmissions a little too short. I am not here to claim that they are beasts by any term, but they can hold power well when in the right hands.

Stangman, as long as you keep the boost mild (9psi or less) then you will not have to worry about things as long as you have a solid tune. Do the regular maintenance along with keeping the tranny bands adjusted and your truck will last a long time without worry.
