Remote Starter Tool Hookup?

Want to do a compression check. Need to know how to hook-up a remote starter-trigger style tool. The instructions given are useless.

Need advise. Pics if you got 'em.

On the drivers side inner fender is the starter solenoid jump the two post it will turn it over.

Thought that was the spot. Tried it, and the starter didn't turn it over. Must have missed a step.

Had the ignition on, and the power pack unplugged. Is there something I'm missing.

there are two wire connections at the starter, the small one is the one you want, you might be able to trace it somewhere easier to access than the starter. Hook your other lead to the battery positive (+) terminal. leave your ignition off when you do it, it will still turn over.

one lead goes to the pos. battery cable. the other lead goes to the small purple wire on the starter relay... just follow the pos. battery cable to it

not with a bypass starter, make sure it's out of gear
