Along with my multiple rangers I also have a 79 f150 that Im turning into a mud bogger. Last year I over heated it to the point of failure since then I have rebuilt and now I want to run a radaiator of the back of my truck on the roll bars my question is this. How do I get the coolent back to that point because last time I checked I cant go buy 30 foot of coolent hose I have hear of guys running things like PVC Pipe all the way to using a garden hose :shok: (dont think I want to try that) Any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated. ie how do I get the coolent back there, do I need to run en electric fan on it do I need to run a bigger water pump ect... right now the truck has a 5.0 over sized crank and cam but I will be installing a 460BB once the engine build is complete Thank you very much. Most people run it in steel tube like 1/8" wall DOM or chromoly. be sure to put an inline filler neck back there and double hose clamps.

Good gawd man. Dom or chromo? I mean it's a radiator line, it's not structural.

Mine, and every other one I've seen on mudders and trailrigs is run through 1.75" exhaust pipe. You can pick up a 10 footer for $15 or so, and find a couple radiator hoses to cut bends out of for bends more than 10-15 degrees. under 10-15 degrees and you can usually use a pipe bender and not have it collapse. Or you could get real trick and run it through a mandrel bender, but if it's just for function, use the radiator hoses at bends. Smear a little ultra grey sealant around the pipe before stuffing the hose on and you won't have any leaks. :icon_thumby:

I have heard that you can use PVC but it has to be sch 80 because of the heat involved and that isnt the cheap stuff
