Who's the go to company for them?

Looking for the budget minded ones with a decent warren tee

Warren Tee?

Jasper used to build good stuff. RMP does good work, I have a few years on one of their engines in my dad's truck with no complaints. You are gonna spend into 4 digits on a reman small block though. I got the engine for my dad's truck at about $2400, and that was my price as an employee.

Stay away from parts store rebuilds, they aren't usually as good. I'd look around locally. A lot of times local guys will rebuild engines and sell them for relatively cheap, but they are still well done (most of the time).

Don't group all parts store rebuilds together. Yea you have your Flightline crap but there is ATK. 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. Out of roughly 50 units I've sold 1 had an issue and it was because of installation error.

I have just not had good luck with parts store remans and try to steer clear of them all.

Lose cam caps, mis-times cams.

well, if you don't double check that kind of thing before installing the engine, you deserve what you get.

Well I'll be if needing a reman it will be under the guidance of a mechanic so he would probably have lines on local guys if the national chains arnt good

if you're looking for a Ford engine, I'd get one from your local ford dealer
I bought one for my moms ranger 3.0l for $2000
none of the parts stores could get one any cheaper
plus ford has 3 year unlimited miles for warrantee

otherwise Sun engines, that is where most of the parts stores get theirs, they are cheap, warrantee sucks on them though, gotta check them over good, assembly is most of their problems
I've used several of them over the years with good luck
used to be you could get a 350 chevy Sun long block for $499
mostly .060 over pistons and .020 under cranks, good enough for daily drivers

anyway go to ford, if they don't give you a good price go to a different dealer, there are 3 ford dealers here only one wants to sell lots of parts, the other two just want to make the MSRP

I see you're in minesota ? try Boyer trucks

I've had good luck with Jasper Engines & Transmissions. They got a pretty good warranty.

Well I was not the one who put those ones in, but if I pay 2 to 3 grand for a reman engine, I should not need to be checking that my main and cam caps are torqued, or not just finger tight.
