Need help with pointers, tips pretty much anything on the best way to reinforce the frame on my truck because the motor I have for it has a lot of torque

Wrap the frame with 3/16 plate, or make a new frame out of 2x5x3/16 tubing...

Is there a certain direction I need to weld, I heard welding at a 45 won't weaken my frame like if I weld strait up and down?

Welding perpendicular to the frame (90* angle) will weaken, but on an angle or circular rosette welds are better. Parallel welds are best...

What about boxing the frame? Any tips on that? Where on the frame should I do it so I still have flex, my truck won't be rock crawling or doing any rigorous off roading, my truck will just have a good amount of torque and hp and I don't have the money to build my own frame

Boxing the entire frame is usually best. What kind of power numbers are you talking about, and what engine?

5.9 cummins, I've had to put this project off for a couple months and I've finally got a chance to get started

There's another member doing a 12v cummins in a ranger, but hes building a new frame out of 2x5x3/16". That motor is very heavy, not mention cause a lot of vibration, which will cause frame damage. I'm not saying it cant be done with a ranger frame, but I wouldn't. In addition to boxing the frame, I suggest wrapping it as well. In the end, it'll be cheaper, faster, and easier to just build a new frame. I'll be building a new frame for my ranger for my new axles and suspension I'll be doing later this year...
