I am looking for a new truck, but cannot make a choice between a regular cab or supercab. I am sort of leaning towards a regular cab right now for three reasons:

1. I like how regular cabs look
2. I drive myself around a lot, I usually never have more than one other passenger
3. They seem like they'd get better gas mileage because of the weight differences

But I can stay away from the fact that I have been driving my current supercab for almost two years, and it would feel weird driving a regular cab and not having all of that space behind the front seats. But then I figured that I could probably get a tool box to store stuff in the bed. And if I needed to carry more than one other passenger, I could borrow one of my parent's vehicles or have them ride in the bed. And that is rare that I would have more than one passenger. But I can't give up a supercab and that would be my dilemma. Pretty much what I'm looking for is opinions from regular cab owners and supercab owners that have owned regular cabs.

supercabs look nice. and the extra room is good. the larger wheelbase gives a better ride too(imo)

now, regular cabs look more sportier. and short wheel base is good to drive in thight spaces and wheeling

if i had to choose id go reg cab short bed again

Being 6'4" I had to bend my legs around the steering wheel in the reg cab B4000 I had. Plus in my current Ranger the seats go back farther, so I'm comfortable all around. I like having the secure/dry storage right behind me, but I wish I had 4 doors. I agree with RSH that you get a better ride too. I like the look of extended cabs better, and I'll never own another regular cab truck.

I agree with your first and second comments. I have driven some regular cabs and they seem to ride different that my supercab. But I like how regular cabs feel "light" and quick while my supercab feels "heavy".

I hate reg cabs. The only reg cab I have ever not felt claustrophobic in was an F-250, and I still didn't care for it. I just can't live without that extra space. And for the record, maybe two, three times tops, do I have more than just myself and my wife in the truck.

6'-3" and I don't mind my regular cab '85

I have a extended cab F-150 and the back seat just seems to be a catchall.

I love how regular cabs look, especially in full size pickups, but I like having my Supercab.

I'm kinda short at 5'3" so not having all that extra leg room wouldn't bother me as much. That's part of the reason why I'm considering a regular cab.

The seat goes back farther in a Supercab. It's not your imagination.

I think super cabs look better. Plus being 6'3" and big I'd feel like a pretzel in a regular cab. I don't see me owning a regular cab anything......ever....unless it's free =).

5' 3"..............Reg. cab/swb trucks look great & fit your height

Etra-cabs gots tons of room.......

you DO have a tuff decision.....:icon_bounceblue:

I love the look of a regular cab...
That being said, dry storage room in the back seat is priceless. Also gives nice room for a sub box, space to put groceries, room to lean the seat back and have some fun... :yahoo:

I dont think I could be happy with a regular cab.

Just for the record, I'm looking for a 98+ regular cab, those are the ones with more room behind the seats right?

well i feel comfortable on my reg cab and i have a couple subs on it too.
