Some of the vacuum lines need to be replaced but I believe some of them are not routed correctly.

The previous owner of the truck "rednecked" all kinds of things on the truck.

I just want to double check the vacuum routing. It might take 5 minutes of your time.

There are no junkyards with complete engines to compare locally.

PM me for my paypal address and #

I have an 89 2.9 also. I can take pics of anything you need. It will just have to be later. I am at work now and browsing from my phone.

Here's some pics from my '88. The big line going off to the right goes to the brake booster. The small line coming off the front goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

Sorry - this is kind of hard to see, but just to the right of the IAC are two lines coming off. One goes to the box around the air filter, the other hooks to some gizmo next to the firewall.

This is the side of the air filter box. One line goes to where the previous photo showed, the other one goes under sheet metal towards the front passenger side.

Hope that helps some.:icon_thumby:

The port under the IAC goes to where?

The drivers side valve cover goes to the throttle body?

The pcv goes to the port just behind the throttle body?

When looking from the front, there are 3 lines coming out of the throttle body. the front right goes to drivers side valve cover, front left goes under IAC, and the rear one goes to the passenger side valve cover.

Ok that works. The small one on the tbody goes to the canister on the drivers side right?

That is correct throttle body to PCV and carbon cannister, manifold vac front of motor goes to air cleaner and map and the vac in the rear goes to the fuel pressure regulator. That is according to my chiltons manual.
