Redneck Truck of the Month or RNTOTM

its not welcome in pa or ny

as to pa and ny.... fawk em.

Bring it over, show me valid reg and insurance and that the brakes have 2/32 left, I'll put a sticker on it.

I wouldn't say just cutting the bumper to make tires fit would be red neck...more along the line of the examples being said and shown. Your truck is more of a street truck. I had to cut my front fenders to get my tires to quit rubbing, even with 5 inches of lift in the front, but thats a typical gen 1 thing.

Example of my truck..the only original parts on it from when it came from the factory are the cab shell, windsheild and the frame. The rest are from other rangers and/or types of vehicles either bolted on or graphed on in a safe manner.

What you dont realize is that's a rwd 2.3L lol There's dents in ever body panel, tailights cracked, dodge dakota bucket seats, etc lol

I think of this when I think of Redneck. It looks ridiculous. But it's relatively safe and functional. Just don't go over 60mph with those unbalanced bias ply tires, lol.

It's........................bordrline Redneck........all the rims match ;missingteeth;

(yankin yore chain....truck looks gooood)

lol, yea the rims match only because I got a full set of rims for free with the parts truck I used to help build it!

I didn't have a better shot of the camo paintjob online anymore or I would have posted that up. Right now it's under the knife...err... torch getting a new front axle then I'm gonna roll some 35's under it. But as it sat in the pic, with the 5" suspension lift, 2" body lift, locked axles (front and rear with 4.10s) and bias ply 33's older than me, I had a total of around $1,650 into it including what I paid for the truck. When I get done with this latest redition, it's going to pretty much double that.... But it's my playtoy, I've learned a lot building it and I don't mind sinking the money into it now (not that I have the money to spare, but I've grown to love my project).

That why a good description is needed on a vehicle so that others can know what can make qualify as a redneck truck, kinda like how we chose the other types of trucks of the month.

Actually.......in YOUR case...........your AVATAR qualifies you ;missingteeth;

(Dat's a compliment)

People can call my truck ugly, have had that happen more then a few times but it has been built and kept on the road and not just given up on and put in a JY like alot of vehicles have been. And in some cases, it had been called ugly by people who dont have a vehicle, but I just tell then that its more then what they have.

Here we are... if this isn't redneck (it's a 2wd), I don't know what is.... :icon_twisted:

Kinda sounds like most of it has been in a junkyard though...

As far as that goes, I think mine has a similar if not more severe story but the PO painted it.

mine was blowing bubbles in 6 feet of water when it was two months old, been on its roof twice, and has spent more time in a u haul then the average persons effects will, using a uhaul for the proper moving use in a typical lifetime.

its about to get some body parts it was not born with permanantly....a set of doors that are not made by the reneck that owns it.

but i have really been thinking of a non crinkled cab more and more..... but with no solid connected roof and a removable windshield:icon_confused:

bobbywalter.............Sounds like you've made up your mind to quit parking on the roof ....

I kinda wonder if my truck did that trick once too...

i fitted up a door last year and real doors dont fit well once they are squashed pretty good and just rednecked back on the road:D

Or you chuck a different cab on it... which is what my truck smells like. :dntknw:

So after a thousand or so views...what do people think about having a RNTOTM, that is if the mods and/or Jim would allow it?
