Redneck Truck of the Month or RNTOTM

I do agree, you can do a lot of work customizing a vehicle and not come out into anything that falls under "Offroad" or "Street"

AllenD's rig is the first one that comes to mind... never seen a pic of it but from what he has said it is pretty unique.

Mine would still be stuck in an awkward place between offroad and DD though. I honestly don't care, I don't want to throw fence posts or feed sacks into anything much taller... but its current height is nice for getting over stuff (and under it with a creeper :secret:)

This is/was my point...this thread is for FUN....use this thread to nominate yourself for what YOU think your vehicle qualifies for!!! It's For FUN!!!!

I realize dangerranger83 wanted this to be a REDNECK TRUCK thread (and I'm sure that he was referring to a safe, driveable vehicle)---Maybe it needs to stay a Redneck Truck Thread---but some of you disagreed with valid reasons...I apologize if I was out of line with him....but it seems like he has a basically great idea with a lot of replies---Why let his thread fizzle out?

.....POST A PIC OF YOUR VEHICLE and nominate it for SOMETHING---ANYTHING..................

It's for F-U-N!!!!

Those responses right there. Still safe for the road, does what you need it to do and you built it to do what you do for your daily life with stuff that you had laying around it made. But I'm not talking about trucks with busted up or missing windshields, head lights, mirrors, scary steering stuff, etc...

I did also intended NON RBVs to be part of this too.

Please don't ever say that again.

I don't like jap cars, but if the owner modifies it to perform better and suit their needs why can't they be? they are not my cup of tea but to each their own. hell I love fieros and used to have an 84 fiero with a v8, most people don't consider that a hotrod but it would blow the doors off most cars on the road and out handle most of them too.

There Ya go......that's the idea!!!!

That's the kind of truck I'm talking about. It may never see off roading or be much of what people see as a street truck, but fits the red neck theme.

Which V8 did you have? My buddy had an 86 that he had plans of putting a Northstar in. Heck, he might still even have it. He's since been converted to the blue oval though.

350 chevy. I got the car for a steal. I bought it from a coworker bc it scared the shit out of her so I got it for 500 about seven years ago. her brother did all the work and spent quite a bit of money putting it together, he was pissed when he found out she sold it. he told me it dynoed around 425hp but I never saw a dyno slip but I don't doubt that was close. I know she burried the 150mph speedo and kept going but was scary as hell after about 120. damn I did some stupid shit when I was younger.

I've had my Mustang to 145. Yowza. That was seriously scary. The freeway makes a curve where I did it at, and I felt like it was going to hover across the freeway like skipping a rock. I beat the Z28.... but yeah, that was pretty stoopid.

at least you had a motor holding the front end down, I could literally pick my front end up without even breaking a sweat, I still regret selling her but when somebody offers you five grand and a 65vw sandrail its hard to say no

I wouldn't say just cutting the bumper to make tires fit would be red neck...more along the line of the examples being said and shown. Your truck is more of a street truck. I had to cut my front fenders to get my tires to quit rubbing, even with 5 inches of lift in the front, but thats a typical gen 1 thing.

Example of my truck..the only original parts on it from when it came from the factory are the cab shell, windsheild and the frame. The rest are from other rangers and/or types of vehicles either bolted on or graphed on in a safe manner.

I have three different tire treads, a floppy bumper that was made for a F-150 (but sturdy, grade 8 hardware etc), a seat that leans about 6-8 inches back to the right, I calculate my gas mileage because the gauge wont work, my mirrors are held on by two bolts and a sheet metal screw, I almost break my hand every time I try to open the TG from beating on it, back up lights dont work, 4wd is currently for looks as the gear ratios dont match and a hole in the front pumpkin, roll bar is for a step side chevy, if you take your hand off the wheel for more than one second youre off the road, and one of my mufflers just broke off so now she sounds like a chopper.
In other words it takes a special kind of crazy to drive the Anger.:icon_twisted:

Is that redneck enough?:icon_rofl:

I think of this when I think of Redneck. It looks ridiculous. But it's relatively safe and functional. Just don't go over 60mph with those unbalanced bias ply tires, lol.
