So after having my red wings for a month I had to take them to the store to get shoe goo applied to the toes to keep the concrete crawlspaces I inspect for work from wearing holes in the toe.

They've been gone for threedays and already I miss them. The boots I had before them feel like slippers now.

Since my mother was buying them for me as my Christmas present, I opted for a pair of 2412s

I loved them so much that I'm taking my tax return and had the shore order me a pair of 2230s just for everyday wear like going out and visiting friends and whatnot.

I've noticed a couple other members had mentioned they liked their red wings too, I thought it would be interesting to see what versions everybody had, what type of work they did, how long the boots have lasted, and of course how happy they are with them.

Model numbers can be looked up by going to www.redwingshoes.com and putting the number in the search box.

So I'll start. I got a pair of 2412s. My job is mostly doing Termite inspections. So I'm running through mulch, mud, snow. Then I have to clean my feet off when I go to check the inside of houses. Then they have to hold up to me crawling around in crawlspaces with either mud or rough concrete.

Haven't had them long enough to say how well they've held up, but I absolutely love them. I've never had boots this comfortable and even with the 3 feet of snow we've had on the ground my feet have stayed dry.

Lets hear what you guys think of yours.

I used to wear Red Wings, then I got a pair of Rocky's and I started throwing rocks at my Red wings. The Red wings were uncomfortable and heavy compared to my Rocky's. I wore them all time.

My current job doesn't require steel toe boots so I don't need them any more. But Rocky's are at the top of my list.

I love my Red Wings.

I have had mine for 6 years. The first 2 years I wore them in the winter only. The last 4 years, I have wore them daily. I even use them for hunting and fishing since they are water proof.

The only thing wrong with mine is the bottoms are getting slick. I have wore the soles out like a set of tires; too many miles and not enough tread.

I have a pair of " Irish Setters ", which is made by red wing. I have used them through 1 Elk Hunting Season which was my first elk season and i shot a 5 point....it must be the boots! But anyways my foot stayed bone dry and were very very warm and comfy, i love them. They are the 4802 Tamarack with 800 Grams of thinsulate, and i believe they are Gortex also....

my red wings are great! i rock the 699 9'' loggers

I just switched from danners. swent with the 1426 made to order. they are not as heavy and my feet don't feel beat on at the end of the day!

i have a pair of red wings that were great til i destroyed them on accident :( i left them in front of a fire and didnt realize it til it was too late and i manage to melt the toes so its a really really tight fit on the toes which that same night got me frostbite :( but looking to get another pair when i get the money lol

I loved my red wing boots when I worked in a lumber yard, but between work, logging, welding, and working at the farm each day... my boots would only last for 2 months before they would need to be reworked for another $100. Then after four months I would have to replace them.

I've got a set of 406's that I love. they've split time with my sneakers for 2 or 3 years now. They're starting to get a little thin in the tread department, but they've still got plenty of life left. I've been through a pair sneakers since my freshman year of high school and I love having these boots cause I don't have to wonder about when they'll wear out.

i work for comcast and they provide steel toe redwings for and i love them very durable

Ariat composite toe slip on. I will never own another brand of boots again, Redwings never held up to the abuse I put them through.

i like my carolinas! the only thing that sucks is they look wore out even tho their not. they got mud, drywall, paint, grease etc. on them so i cant wear them when i take my girl out cuz they look abused haha

And here I thought I was the only one who had their red wings.
