It’s only for decoration.

Oh shush Ray you are sucking the life outta my crapposting.

That 3M adhesive tape has got to be good for at least 50 lbs

The funny part is you can get a recovery ring ftom Harbor frieght that is rated 10,000 lbs for 4 dollars more...and it fits in a standard 2" receiver

I had a 102" whip on my old cavalier that had no CB... It was the equivalent of having 20 inch spinning rims on your car back then. Yea, I got all the ladies...

I had a 102" whip on a truck I had years ago. One night I heard something hit it as I was driving. The next morning I saw a dead bat wrapped around it. I forgot about it when I drove into a parking garage and took out about four of those long fluorescent tubular lightbulbs before I realized what that popping noise was. Then, it snagged a pine cone that was bigger than a football on a camping trip. It then came crashing down on my windshield and cracked it. Then I caught the corner of a rectangular light fixture at a drive-thru and spun it around about 110 degrees and bent the tip of it which then cause it to make a loud sound as I was going down the freeway. I decided to replace it with an K40 before something else happened.

And when I say bigger than a football, I mean it: https://lpfw.org/our-region/wildlife/coulter-pine/
The article says they get up to 12 inches long. I've seen them at around 20 inches. The one that cracked my windshield was 16 inches. I took it home to measure it. Then I tossed it in the fireplace and watched it burn.

You need to do this if you are gonna run a whip and only let it loose when you really need the range.
