Looking for a recommended weight to put in the back of my RWD ranger without jeopardizing steering or traction up front. Live in Missouri so weather is pretty unpredictable most of the time.
 
about a 100 pounds
 
Yes, 100-200lbs and use smaller sand bags, behind the axle in the bed, and put a board across the bed so they can't slide forward, or if in an accident they can't "fly forward" :)

Sand bags are good because you can pull one out and pour it under rear wheels for better traction, just in case
