recommended body lift kits?

hey guys, I'm planning on buying a 3 in body lift kit to fit 33in BFGs. I plan on installing it myself. are there some kits preferable to others? or are they all pretty much the same thing.

any advice would be appreciated.

i bought a performance accessories kit, i think the bolts and the lift blocks are all the same tho, ive seen many of body lift kits and there most identical. however my biggest complaint is the washers they sent with the kit. while torque them down they bent in half before i even got them halfway torque.

i dont remember how much i paid for my body lift, but i think it was 165? at suspension connection. i would recomend them, it was fast and easy.

my body bolts were pretty rusted. get a cheater bar, and i can of pb blaster, a few friends, it took a good 8 hours to do mine. the front were the worst, the tab to keep the bolt from spinning was rusted and broke off, so i had to use a monkey wrench to hold it in place.

i didnt end up using the steering shaft extension, and i know some others that have run a 3" body lift without it also.

I had problems on my front mounts (both my 94 Ranger and my 94 Explorer)The bolt goes up into a cupped washer looking unit and with the water sitting in it, it rusts up real bad. I used a sawsall and cut the bolt out and used a hocky puck and the lift block. It worked really well, and I havent had any issues with the puck.

The puck replaces a rubber bushing (?) that sits on the frame mount.

Interesting. I actually have a couple hockey pucks lying around so that's good to know!
